Both share the same rod-wire base construction and the same two finish options. The key differences are in seat height, depth, and posture. The Arm Chair (seat height 457 mm, depth 597 mm) is dimensionally a dining chair — upright, compact, compatible with standard table heights. The Lounge Chair (seat height 387 mm, depth 927 mm) is a low, deep lounge seat. The Arm Chair is the more versatile piece for mixed-use environments; the Lounge Chair is the more comfortable piece for extended informal seating.
Yes — the Platner Arm Chair at 457 mm seat height is compatible with the Platner Dining Table at 686 mm height, providing approximately 229 mm of clearance between the seat surface and the underside of the table. This is within the standard range for comfortable dining use. Specifying both pieces in the same finish (Polished Nickel or Bronze) creates a fully unified dining ensemble.
The Platner Dining Table at 53.75 in (1365 mm) diameter comfortably accommodates 4–6 arm chairs depending on spacing preference. Yes — the electroplated Polished Nickel finish is durable and can be maintained with a soft cloth.
