—— QUESTIONS
Everything you might ask before buying.
Yes — the Platner Lounge Chair has been in continuous production since 1966 and is deployed in some of the world's most demanding contract environments, including hotel lobbies, corporate reception areas, and premium hospitality settings. It is produced by KnollStudio® to the exacting standards of the original designer. Contact our team for specification and contract support.
Both are electroplated finishes applied over the steel wire rod base. Polished Nickel is a bright, cool-toned mirror finish — highly reflective and visually light. Bronze is warmer and darker in tone, and develops a subtle patina over time as the finish ages. Both are extremely durable under contract conditions. The choice between them is largely one of interior palette — Polished Nickel suits cooler, more minimal schemes; Bronze reads as warmer and more material.
The full range of KnollTextiles fabrics and Spinneybeck leathers is available for the Platner Lounge Chair. Contact our team in Almaty to receive current swatches and discuss your upholstery selection before placing an order.
The seat height is 387 mm (15.25 in) — a low lounge position. This is significantly lower than a standard dining chair and is designed for relaxed, informal seating rather than upright task seating. Most users find it exceptionally comfortable for lounge use, though those with limited mobility may find rising from this height more effort than from a higher seat. For a higher seat option in the same collection, see the Platner Arm Chair (seat height 457 mm).
The Lounge Chair pairs naturally with the Platner Coffee Table in the same or contrasting finish. Alongside the Platner Arm Chair, the two create a comfortable mixed-height lounge grouping. All Platner pieces share the same rod-wire base construction and the same two finish options, making the collection visually cohesive when mixed.
Yes — the Platner Lounge Chair is available in our Almaty showroom. We strongly recommend seeing the Polished Nickel and Bronze finishes and upholstery samples in person before specifying, as the quality of the rod-wire base and the depth of the electroplated finish are not fully captured in photography.
Please contact our team in Almaty for warranty terms applicable to the Platner Lounge Chair. We are happy to provide full details before you place an order.
