The Laccio Table, Large was designed a century ago and has barely changed. That is the point. Breuer's use of tubular steel to define lines in space — rather than to fill it — meant that the Laccio Tables retained their visual logic as tastes and interiors shifted around them. At 53.5" wide the Large has the footprint of a substantial coffee table; at 13.5" high it sits at a low, relaxed level suited to the seating height of the MR Lounge Chair, the MB Lounge Chair, or any low lounge piece. The smooth laminate top is a practical surface — easy to clean, scratch-resistant in normal use, and available in colours (white, black, red) that resolve with almost any interior scheme. The marble options add material weight for settings where the laminate's graphic simplicity gives way to something more material-led. The frame is the same seamless tube as every Laccio Table — one continuous line that makes the legs and rails of the table in a single sweep of polished steel.

Marcel Breuer (1902–1981) was a pivotal figure of the Bauhaus movement and one of the most influential designer-architects of the Modernist era. As a student and later master of the Bauhaus carpentry shop, Breuer championed the integration of art, craftsmanship, and industrial production. His groundbreaking experiments with tubular steel, inspired by bicycle handlebars, revolutionized 20th-century furniture design. Pieces like the Laccio Tables and the iconic Wassily Chair transformed steel tubes into lines of functional art. Knoll is part of the MillerKnoll collective, alongside leading modern furniture innovators including Herman Miller, NaughtOne, and Maharam.

Care Instructions

Satin Plastic Laminate Top

Wipe regularly with a clean, soft microfiber cloth dampened with warm water and a mild non-abrasive detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals, solvent cleaners, or scouring pads which can dull the satin surface finish. Wipe dry immediately with a clean towel to prevent water spots.

Optional Gloss-Coated Marble Top

Clean with a soft, dry or damp cloth. Use only specialized stone cleaners or a mild, pH-neutral soap solution. Do not use acidic liquids, vinegar, or abrasive kitchen cleaners, as they can etch or damage the protective gloss coating. Clean spills immediately, especially acidic substances like coffee, wine, or citrus.

Polished Chrome Frame

Dust with a dry microfiber cloth for daily maintenance. For fingerprints or smudges, use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild glass cleaner. Dry immediately to prevent rust or spotting on the seamless steel loop. Do not use metal polishes or abrasive pads.

Plastic Floor Glides

Check glides periodically for embedded debris that could scratch hard floor finishes. If a glide shows heavy wear or becomes damaged, contact our Almaty team for replacements.

Сатиновая столешница из ламината
