The key difference is the tabletop overhang at the short ends. On the Pyramid Table 01, the legs are positioned flush with the edge of the tabletop — there is no overhang, giving the table a very precise, contained profile. On the Pyramid Table 02, the tabletop extends beyond the legs at both ends, creating an overhang. This overhang gives seated guests at the short sides more legroom and makes the ends of the table much more comfortable to use as seating positions. For large gatherings where end seats are needed, the 02 is the better choice. The 01 has a cleaner visual edge — for settings where the table will be used primarily along the long sides, either works equally well.

The water-based lacquered oak is the lowest-maintenance option — its protective lacquer resists moisture and everyday marking better than the oiled finishes, and requires no periodic re-treatment. It is the best choice for high-frequency use or if you prefer minimal maintenance. The oiled oak has a more open-pored, tactile surface and a warmer, more natural feel, but needs re-oiling once or twice a year. The smoked oiled oak has the same care requirements as the oiled version but with a richer, darker tone — the most dramatic of the three options. All three are 21 mm solid oak with FSC™ certification and a straight edge.

All three frame colours work with all three oak finishes — the combination is a matter of interior palette. Black is the most widely specified and works with all finishes; it creates the strongest graphic contrast against the lacquered and oiled oak. Beige is softer and warmer, particularly well-suited to oiled or smoked oak in Scandinavian or warm-neutral interiors. Tomato Red is the accent choice — bold without being distracting, and particularly effective with the natural or smoked oak tops. The 190 × 85 cm seats 6–8 (3 per long side, plus 2 at the ends). The 250 × 85 cm seats 8–10 (4 per long side, plus ends). The 300 × 85 cm seats 10–12 (5 per long side, plus ends). The tabletop overhang on the 02 model makes the end positions comfortable — a meaningful advantage over the 01 at the larger sizes.

It was originally designed for Dutch schools and public institutions, where daily use under demanding conditions was the baseline requirement. It is fully qualified for restaurants, offices, conference rooms, and other contract environments.

It depends on the finish. The water-based lacquered oak needs only routine wiping with a damp cloth and neutral detergent — no periodic re-treatment is required. The oiled and smoked oiled oak tops need re-oiling approximately once to twice a year. In all cases, wipe spills promptly, avoid standing water, and keep the table away from direct sustained heat and sunlight.
